Do you need previous sailing or military experience to qualify? No, your skills and experiences may help qualify you for a higher-level position, but we have a few entry-level positions as well. With more endorsements on your Merchant Mariner Credential, you’ll be eligible for positions with greater responsibility and higher earnings. If you have an interest in going to sea, MSC may be the best and last move you’ll ever need to make.
