This position is the watch supervisor and operates and maintains the ship’s communication suite. Requires Shipboard Radio Room Experience with working knowledge of one or more of the following a plus: Gateguard, USMTF, MDS, DMS, DPVS, NAVMACS, OTCIXS, SSIXS, BGIXS, SIPRNET, NIPRNET, JMCIS, JOTS, IFF, TACAN, INMARSAT, SITE TV, CMS/TPI. Experience working in a shipboard communications environment: or U.S. Navy trained: IT, RM, CTO, CTA, CTI, CTM, CTR, CTT, FC, FT, ST, OS, AT, ET ratings (E5 and above) or other government/military/commercial equivalent experience obtained in other government, uniformed or merchant marine service and/or related education is a plus.
Electrician or qualified member of the engine department of any unlicensed rating.
