Operates and maintains the ship’s communication suites. Shipboard Radio Room Experience with working knowledge of one or more of the following a plus: Gateguard, USMTF, MDS, DMS, DPVS, NAVMACS, OTCIXS, SSIXS, BGIXS, SIPRNET, NIPRNET, JMCIS, JOTS, IFF, TACAN, INMARSAT, SITE TV, CMS/TPI. Military or civilian experience working in a shipboard or land based communications environment, or wireless network/router environment. Minimum of eight months documented on the job training (OJT) by a Ships Communications Officer, or Military Communications Officer/Communications Chief E-7 and above, or civilian equivalent in a shipboard or civilian military communications environment”.
MMD/MMC Requirements
Entry-level endorsement and must be able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
