100711-N-3446M-178 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 11, 2010) Merchant mariners of the USNS Amelia Earhart (T-AKE 6) hoist a lifeboat and crew from the ship and Sailors from the Commander Fleet Activities, Okinawa, Targets Department, after a Roboski practice run in the water for an upcoming exercise. The targets team and the Amelia Earhart are en-route to join the combined U.S. - Republic of Singapore Navy Task Group for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2010.  In its 16th year, CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises are held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
