The Yeoman Storekeeper is responsible to the Supply Officer or Master/OIC (if serving as independent duty) performing all supply department functions assigned in accordance with COMSCINST 3120 and 4000.2 series, directives and Program Specific Directives.

MATERIAL SUPPORT FUNCTIONS

1. Responsible for maintenance of records, correspondence, reports, returns and obligation records for all material.

2. Responsible for proper material identification for both Government and commercial items. (Using management data lists, allowance lists, load lists, technical manuals, parts lists, Navy Logistics Library (NLL), Master index of APLs/AELs (MIAPL), and commercial off the shelf technical research systems)

3. Responsible for proper maintenance of all files. (For requisitions, purchases, stowage, and disposition of material).

4. Responsible for all types of material expenditures, shipments and surveys and insuring that proper documentation is maintained in the expenditure invoice files.

5. Responsible for proper receipt, stowage, distribution, and transportation of Fleet Cargo, Mail, Freight, Personal Effects, and Unaccompanied Baggage and are accounted for in accordance with NAVSUP P-485.

6. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all shipboard hazardous materials, receipts, issues, stowage and turn-in.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
1. Responsible for processing Material Requirements External (MRE) transactions, this includes logging on to the system, processing of customer requirements, issues for own ships use, and complete transactions via warehouse processing.

2. Responsible for ensuring that MFCS accounting and reporting processes and procedures are complied with.

3. Responsible for data downloaded from the Streamlined Alternative Logistics Transaction System (SALTS).

4. Responsible for processing customer requirements. (Including review and edit the UNREP-RT. Module to begin UNREP processing, validating, updating, rationing, making substitutions and processing 1348-1 picking tickets 5. Responsible for proper reading, interpreting, correcting, and processing of receipts.

AVIATION MATERIAL (T-AFS/T-AE/TAOE/TAKE only)
Responsible for maintaining the Aviation Pack-ups provided by Helicopter Detachments’ Type Commander (TYCOM). (This includes making issues, receipts, material stowage, expenditures, surveys, and accountability of controlled equipage).

Performs other duties as assigned.
